About IACAC

Over 500 members make up the IACAC. The organization includes individuals from airlines, freight forwarders, airline truckers, customs house brokers, packers, insurance providers, shippers, and other international transportation related groups. To further encourage individuals to enter international marketing / transportation, the IACAC has established several educational scholarships (available to its members & family and other qualifying individuals) at Chicago area colleges.

The International Air Cargo Association of Chicago was organized in 1955 by a group of airline/forwarder staff interested in developing stronger individual relationships among those involved in international air freight. In 1959, the group applied for and received a "not-for-profit" Association registration from the state of Illinois.  
The objectives of the Association are:
  • To exchange information and provide mutual assistance in the promotion of international air cargo transportation in the Midwest Area of the United States.
  • To achieve coordinated action in the matters involving or effecting air cargo transportation in the Midwest Area of the United States.
  • To carry out activities such as meeting, round table discussions, lectures, research, and information useful to the membership.
  • To co-operate with other interested associations and trade groups.
