We look forward to having maximum participation and engagement from our membership at this critical annual event that determines our leadership for the upcoming year.
Meet the Candidates!
Wayne Chen - Traffic Tech Chicago
I worked as General Manager Cargo North America of China Southern Airlines in Chicago O’Hare back in 2000. After, I was then Director Asia Pacific region of Alliance Air, the Chicagoan air cargo handling company for 4 years. I joined Sinotrans/ CIT in 2008 as General manager, of the Chicago branch of this world’s 5th largest freight forwarding company, and I’ve been with Traffic Tech since 2017, overseeing all Midwest sales and air operations.
With my 20 plus years experiences in air cargo, both airline cargo and freight forwarding industry, I believe I could be a good candidate to have a position on the Board, to maximize the influence of the association to the Chicago air cargo industry, especially to those who have been working hard for the most dynamic air cargo market of trans-pacific.
Pamela DeSalvo - B&R Logistics
Currently I am the Vice President of Business Development for B&R Logistics and am responsible for developing and maintaining long term relationships with clients. I have spent much of my professional career in and around air cargo and the logistics sector, including with Everglory Logistics, Ever Concord, UAC, Inc., ACI and K-Line Air Service.
This business is about people, networking and interconnectivity. I believe that by networking with each other here in Chicago and with our colleagues throughout the industry and around the U.S., we can make for better opportunities for everyone throughout air cargo and make for a more positive and healthy industry.
Theresa O'Sullivan - Unishippers
Therese has been a franchise owner of Unishippers since May, 2015, but has been involved in selling or representing the Unishippers brand since 2009.
Benjamin Pecoraro - Basic Crating & Packaging
I currently manage the Dangerous Goods Group of Basic Crating & Packaging Inc. I have been working with DG throughout my career starting with W.W. Grainger in 1995 and then moving to DGM Chicago 16 years later. The DGM franchise was then picked up by Basic Crating & Packaging Inc. We have since dropped the franchise and are operating wholly as Basic Crating & Packaging Inc. where the same quality of service is offered now.
I have been involved with the IACAC Organization for the last 2 years. In that time I have made many connections and a growing group of friends attending many of the events the IACAC has offered. The IACAC has given me many opportunities to grow in the air cargo community. I would like to give back to the Organization and would like to run for a position on the board. I would like to see the Organization continue to strengthen and be a positive place for people within our industry to meet new connections as well as discuss the current industry climate and challenges we all face.
Maureen Schmitt - Mallory Alexander
Maureen is a former Marine and retired Navy Master Chief. Maureen has been in Logistics for over twenty years. She currently is the Regional Director Chicago for Mallory Alexander International Logistics.
