- Aviation meeting and bus tour
August 29, 2017
10:00 am - 12:30 pm
This is a rare opportunity - don't miss out.
This is a big one, everybody. Seating is limited for the bus tour - so grab one of the 30 slots that are available before they're gone.
Also, this event must be paid for in advance - there will be no on-site payments for this one.
We're also going to need additional information about each attendee for a security check, so this one will be closed at the end of June to allow for screening.
Meet the head of the Chicago Department of Aviation.
Our morning starts with a 10:00 AM meeting featuring Chicago's Aviation Commissioner Ginger Evans. Ginger was kind enough to join a panel last September at Coopers Hawk in Arlington Heights hosted by the Airforwarders Association on the topic of O'Hare and congestion and the state of cargo.
If you're looking to have a pipeline to the top of the Aviation Department, this is it.
Tour ORD by bus - inside the security perimeter.
After our meeting with Ginger, registrants will board a bus for a view of the airport very few are allowed to see - inside the perimeter fencing. Most people are used to the view through an airplane seat or a fence - here's a chance to see it up close and personal. Our tour guide for the event will be Adam Rod, the City of Chicago's Director of Planning and friend of the Association.
